SWISSMADE for Kopa in Karpacz, Poland
From April 26, 2018 to Kopa – a hill near Karpacz, Poland – you can enter and leave it with the new SWISSMADE Bartholet Ropeways cableway for only 55 PLN (13 EUR) per person. The new cablecar to Kopa in Karpacz, Poland, is equipped with four-seat couches. The couches allow you to ride at the wind speeds up to 20 m/s. The journey time was shortened from the previous one, which was 20 minutes, up to 7 minutes! The joy of passing huge, because climbing on foot Kopa is not a challenge for the cephers. It is not high, the difference in levels is only 530 meters, but steep and stony. The joy is increased by the fact that beautiful views and hikes on the top of the Karkonosze Mountains and the opportunity to visit several huts await us at the top.
The purpose of the trip and the reward for walking for walkers may be, for example, a visit to the nearby Lucni Bouda, one of the highest located tourist mountain shelter in Central Europe. For 300 years, Lucni Bouda has provided shelter, safety and a friendly atmosphere in the Karkonosze Mountains at an altitude of 1,410 m above sea level. Currently, Lucni Bouda is a luxury hotel, with a restaurant serving huge sausages and giant croissants and excellent Czech beer from the local highest located brewery in Europe.
An additional attraction for ham operators is the good audibility of the VHF repeaters. At the upper station of the new Kopa cableway in Karpacz there is a SR6JG repeater (438.675 MHz), and at Szrenica Mountain near Szklarska Poręba there is SR6J repeater (145.675 MHz). Through both of them you can easily talk from a small “hendy” during trips to the valleys and tops of the Karkonosze Mountains. Both for opening needs a 67 Hz tone.
